Tai Chi Flash Mobs Around the World
Apparently Tai Chi flash mobs are a thing! Tai Chi is good for making friends as much as it is good for promoting health.
In Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Argentina, England, China, France (at the Eiffel Tower), in the streets, at train stations, in malls... there are loads of people around the world raising awareness of the art and having a good laugh. I certainly did when I stumbled across some of these videos! This collection showcases tai chi flash mobs in 6 of the 7 continents! Come on, Antarctica, I'm rooting for you.
We take ourselves so seriously sometimes, it's good to stop for a smile. Smell the roses. Or just casually, randomly gather together in odd places to do a synchronized round or two of your favorite form.

Christmas Eve is a busy time of year. Last minute present shopping, getting the last bits of food ready, preparing for relatives. It can also be a stressful time.
Lishi Tai Chi Salford performed a flashmob at Salford Precinct Shopping Centre, in Peacocks to show the calming effects of tai chi.

flashmob tai chi xin yi en el Retiro
Flashmob realizado por alumnos e instructores de la Asociación Española de Tai Chi Xin Yi en su décimo quinto aniversario.
Ésta escuela llegó a España con el maestro Xia Zi Cai en la década de los ochenta. En Mayo de 1998 se constituyó la Asociación Española con el objetivo principal de formar y difundir el estilo. En el año 2000, la maestra Hui Fang Shao recoge el testigo de su antecesor en la formación de instructores. En la actualidad, la Asociación Española de Tai Chi Xin Yi, cuenta con más de ciento cincuenta instructores acreditados y se practica por multitud de alumnos en gran parte del territorio nacional. Entre sus actividades más destacadas, están los seminarios de verano, abiertos a todo el público, en la localidad de Poio (Pontevedra) y de fin de semana en distintas localidades españolas.

Este Flashmob es solo una expresión dentro de millones de expresiones artísticas, filosóficas y culturales que se desprenden de las enseñanzas de Confucio, Lao Tse... simplemente generamos acción. Movimiento. Generamos conciencia. Cuidamos la salud. Alimentamos la Armonía entre los pueblos.
