What most people don't know is that this video was never meant to be a proper demonstration of the family form, it was intentionally performed to hide many of the family's signature movements and internal ideas. As was often the case in Chinese martial arts, for any public display, the audience was always kept in mind, including the filmmaker, as well as the film's purpose. In this case, the audience was intended to be a very limited group of government officials and was not meant for wider distribution. Unfortunately, many have touted this demonstration as the quintessential Yeung Family form. It isn't. That said, Yeung Sau Chung's fluidity and power are hard to miss.

Yang (Yeung) Sau Chung was the eldest son of Yang Cheng Fu. In 1949 he moved to Hong Kong and he taught privately at his home until his death in 1985.
