The art of Xing Yi Quan has links to the battlefields of medieval China and has evolved to remain an effective and relevant martial art today. It's strong and direct striking style makes it effective for self defence but below the surface is also a subtle and nuanced tradition with lots of depth.
A complete system based on the Daoist Five Elements and animistic 12 Animals, includes esoteric practices of Nei Gong, Qi Gong and Yan Yi.
Weapons feature highly and our Chinese Swordfighting is augmented by crosstraining in Yang Style Tai Chi Sword with Scott Rodell. Our Xing Yi system includes Big Spear, Halberds, Staff, Horse Cutting Sword, Chinese Straightsword, Sabre, Maces/Hammers, and Knives/Needles.
