Philip survived a near fatal road accident in 2002. He had his right leg amputated and suffered many other significant injuries. He used his long background in t'ai chi ch'uan, Daoyin yoga, and other martial arts to support his rehabilitation and recovery.

After more than 34 years of day to day practise, Philip aims to offer all people the opportunity to learn and benefit from these wonderful exercises and arts.

As a Board Certified instructor with the Tai Chi for Health Institute Philip teaches Tai Chi for Health programmes created by Dr Paul Lam for others to enjoy and improve their health.

Philip founded HUNTUN Tai chi™ as a social enterprise in 2016. Classes • 1 to 1 • Workshops • Presentations Classes cover: Baildon, Bingley, Glusburn, Keighley, Saltaire, Shipley and Skipton.

Alongside his partner Helen Parsons, a Registered Occupational Therapist, Philip offers consultation and presentations on the growing evidence base for Tai Chi for Health and other mindful movement activities to positively impact health and wellbeing.
