video

Tai Chi is a type of martial arts that combines slow, continuous movements with even, long breaths and meditation. This gentle combination makes Tai Chi an ideal practice for people with health problems, says Zonghao Zhang, M.S., a martial arts instructor in the Department of Physical Education at Suzhou University in Suzhou City, China. Zhang is on a one-year sabbatical at M. D. Anderson to learn how to conduct research on Tai Chi and Qigong and the effects these practices have on cancer patients.
