Old Yang Middle-frame Taijiquan, Tian and Shen family lineage, from Yang Chien Hou. This is performed by Steve Higgins and students in 2015 at Cold Mountain Internal Arts in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Video by Sunshine Chen.
I (Steve Higgins) learned the form from Dr. Shen Zaiwen whose uncle and father learned it in Shanghai from Tian Xiaolin / Tyan Zhaolin, a senior student of the Yang family. I have been teaching it since certified by Dr. Shen as a lineage instructor in 1994. Further information is available through www.coldmountaininternalarts.com or through the CMIA FB site.
This form is now taught in Canada, The U.S.A., China and the U.K. It is the same sequence as the contemporary Yang family long form, but with many additional movements and its own system of internal work.
