Master Zhang San Feng is a legendary Daoist monk who invents Mien Chuen=Cotton Fist.

As a young boy he learns martial arts @ the Shaolin Temple. At 20 years old, he leaves the Shaolin Temple and begins wandering around China developing his knowledge and understanding in both gongfu and Daoism.

By combining Daoist breathing exercises with the flowing movements of the bird and the snake he creates the internal martial art Mien Chuen. Master Zhang Sanfeng begins practicing his Cotton Fist in secret, retreating to the woods to perfect the moves, where he creates 13 Postures of Taiji.

He teaches Taiji to the monks at the Wu Tang Temple each day at dawn and then again at dusk. The knowledge of Tai Ji passes down to future generations of Taiji's lovers, many of whom see Master Zhang San Feng appears while they are practicing taiji to check on the development of Wudang Taiji!
