Great to be back outdoors at our favorite location for Tai Chi Hastings Rocks, Ch Ch, Barbados 😊

Today we worked on some broadsword basics. Was really great to hear the sound of the ocean and feel the nice cool breeze. What i love about this weapon is the physical benefits it brings to the body. Unlike weight training, which isolates muscle parts, tai chi weapons training involves weighted, full-body, and circular movements. This works both upper and lower part of the body regardless of the style being used. When maneuvering the weapon, full-body movement is "mandatory", meaning the body controls the weapon.
