Using the same MR-US fusion technology to perform targeted biopsies, UCLA Urology is in a collaboration with Biomedical Engineering, Radiology, and Pathology to perform focal therapy of the prostate. In this video, the team, lead by Dr. Marks, describes the development of the targeting and fusion technology to allow laser therapy to deliver a minimally invasive treatment, eliminating the side effects of radical surgery.
